Thanks Sasha
Taking enough Cod Liver oil to get sufficient D from it alone will often cause a Vitamid A toxicity as there is more A than D in Cod liver oil.
Vitamin D caps are MADE from lanolin as the starting ingredient but I would not advise "taking" lanolin as a good way to get Vitamin D.
Especially because good pharmaceutical D is available at supermarket prices on my website !

Good question Mary,
Normalizing your D will NOT imbalance your other vitamins! As you know I get my patients blood levels up to 40-70 ng/ml for optimal health especially with Diabetes. Do watch your blood sugars when your D levels get up as sometimes you can use LESS insulin when the D levels are up.

With B VITAMINS I do recommend balancing all the B's. Too much of one B vitamin can throw off the other B's

Hope that helps

HI Ken
I am so glad you liked my book!
Lung cancer is a vitamin D deficient cancer so I am glad you are taking it.
Ask your doctor for a blood test for Vitamin D and that will help you/him to determine the best dose as I describe in Chapter 5 of my book. I do have an at home Vitamin D blood test kit you can do if your doctor will not do the Vitamin D test.

Here is the link:

I hope that helps

I always enjoy reading your newsletter. They are informative and more than that give me a sense of not been so alienated when it comes to health issues. It was nice to learn how the american public is becaming more apreciative of alternative methods for health care. When I moved to the USA in 1983, I met zero people who ever heard of homeopathy, and other alternatives. Thank you for your work mara

I just finished your book and I thought it was great. Where I live the doctors seem to be years behind. Iam sure my D level is low but am taking D3 tablets to gradually raise it.
You mentioned cancer in your book, well I have lung cancer and I was hoping you might have other markers I need to check that will help me fight this?
I would be willing to travel to you for a check up.

Thankyou
Ken

Dear Dr Soram- I've read so much about balancing your vitamins so that one does not impede the impact of another- Will taking 5000 IU's of D for a period of time ( I listened to you on Hay House) to get my level up throw off the effect my other supplements? My last blood level showed a reading of 34. (We live in SF, CA) I have Type 1 DM and have musculoskeletal pain that began around perimenopause and has worsened. I am willing to try anything that will help. Thank you and Best to you~

Thank you for this page.
I have been researching for awhile as I have a friend who has Multiple Sclerosis.

Vitamin D is fat soluable so sources from cod liver oil and lanolin from the glands on sheeps skin are very good bioavailable forms of D3.

I think they are better than swallowing a dry pill.

Of course the sun is the best form of Vitamin D but if you have a disability and you rely on other people to take you out (like my friend) it is hard to get enough from sun.

Also other intersting information about carotenoid family of nutrients. They are very good for protecting your skin cells against damage from the sun. So if you're a sun lover isnt that cool :)
