John McDougall on Milk and Dairy

My colleague John McDougall, MD is a board-certified internist, author of 11 national best-selling books, the international on-line “McDougall Newsletter,” host of the nationally syndicated television show “McDougall M.D.,” and medical director of the 10-day, live-in McDougall Program in Santa Rosa, CA. He is an Associate Professor at the Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Mare Island, Vallejo, California.

Dr McDougall has a 10 day program in Santa Rosa California where he teaches people that come from all over the world how to modify their diet to treat (or prevent) heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and other chronic degenerative diseases. You can learn more about his program here

During those 10 days, most (over 90%) people are able to stop their medications for hypertension, type-2 diabetes, arthritis, indigestion, and constipation. Those who must stay on medications are often able to switch to simpler, safer, more effective, and less expensive ones.

In this lecture, Dr McDougall discuses milk and diary products, how they are “made” and why they are bad for our bodies. This lecture taught me so much that I wanted to share it with my friends and patients. Although the lecture was given in 2004, everything he says in the lecture is still true today.
