I am very complimented that so many of my patients have asked what happened to my newsletter? I have been very busy!
I’m happy to announce to all my patients and friends than on February 23, 2009 my first book, the vitamin D revolution will be released on my publisher Hay House’s website, as well as on Amazon.com. This book has been a labor of love for the last approximately eight months. I am very happy and proud with how the book turned out, and hope that it will help many people.
In all my many years of practice of medicine, I’ve never seen one vitamin, even vitamin C, have such profound effects on human health. As most of you who are my patients know I’ve been normalizing and optimizing my patient’s vitamin D levels for the last approximate five years. 90% of the new patients that I see are significantly deficient in vitamin D even in Southern California! This brought me to the moral and spiritual imperative to share this information with the entire world. It is estimated that there are over one billion people deficient in vitamin D worldwide.
There are two additional aspects to my "vitamin D project".
One is that I’ve contracted with a nutritional supplement company which only makes products for physicians. I am partnering with them and with Hay House to release a pharmaceutical quality vitamin D3 which will be sold at supermarket prices. This will assure that people are honestly and accurately getting the proper dose of vitamin D to help keep them healthy. There is another exciting aspect to my vitamin D project, which I will be delighted to announce in February.
Above the 35th parallel in the United States there is a "vitamin D winter" from approximately November through March. Los Angeles is at the 34th parallel. Therefore sitting in the sun even on these warm January days will make very little vitamin D in your skin. I encourage all of my patients to ask me to check your vitamin D level so we can make sure that you are optimized.
The website for my book www.vitaminDrevolution.com will go live in the first or second week of February. The book will be available later in February on the Internet, and it will be in brick-and-mortar bookstores by April 1, 2009. If you’re my patient you will be able to get the book at my office for a reduced price.
I am hoping to start a national and possibly international dialogue with the "movers and shakers" in healthcare. I would ask any or all of my patients or friends if you have any ideas for ways that I can get the word out on Vitamin D, to please contact me at my e-mail.

Welcome to the world of publishing, most beloved Dr. Soram!
The world will benefit from your genius as so many of us who are lucky enough to be your patients have all these many years.
Perhaps someone you know can introduce you to Dr. Oz which would in turn lead to Oprah…
God’s blessings on you and this wonderful book.
Jai!

Hi Dr. Soram I very much enjoyed your talk on Hay House and the effects of Vitamin D. I cannot take a Multivitamin because I suffer from Interstitial Cystitis so therefore have to take separate vitamins. Would Vitamin D. be of benefit to me. I do not know what my levels are but, I’m planning on asking my Dr. about it. Would there be any correlation between I.C. and lack of Vitamin D.

Hi Dr. Khalsa, truly enjoyed your interview on Hay House.
I am wondering if you feel that the 50 k level would be beneficial for someone who has mixed connective tissue disease? I ‘ve been taking 2K
units for about a month but am not sure if this will help or hinder my spasms.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you. -
Dear Dr. Soram: Thank you for all your love, caring and healing. You have always been there for me and my family and I am so appreciative. Congratulations on your book. I know this is important work. You should have your own weekly talk show. Move over Dr. Oz!
See you soon, I am sure.
Love,
