Hi Kim,

That is NOT a vitamin D test ! That is a test of Parathyroid Hormone called PTH.Your PTH is in the normal range but that does not in any way tell you what your Vitamin D level is.

Be sure to ask for a 25-Hydroxy-Vitamin D level or you might be given the "old fashiion" blood test for Vitamin D which is not the best way to get a result.

Dr. Soram,

I have your book " the VITAMIN D RVOLUTION". I am trying to interpret my lab test results relative to chart on page 50 of yor book.

PTH, INTACT (ICMA) and IONIZD CALCIUM

PARATHYROID HORMONE, INTACT

20 pg/mL REFERANCE RANGE 10-65

How do I convert these results to the chart on page 50?

Testing performed at QUEST LABORAORIES INC AUBURN HILLS, 4444 GIDDINGS ROAD, AUBURN HILLS, MI 48326

Is this a Vitamin D deficiency screen?

How do these results compare to your recommended levels of Vitamin D?
